Why I’m Here

30 years ago I set out to help others. Now I want to help you help others. As a licensed clinical counselor supervisor in Ohio, my background is in social work and counseling. During my very full and satisfying career I’ve endeavored to reach diverse populations, reflecting my personal passions, which has led me to hospice work, community mental health, higher education and finally a successful private practice.

But, I did all that without the benefit of good supervision or guidance. It shouldn’t have taken me so long to gain the skills and knowledge I needed to truly help my clients. Are you happy with the supervision you have received or are receiving? Do you want to start a practice but don’t know all the details it takes to get it up and running properly? Do you know how to properly supervise your interns or new professionals?

I’m here because I know how to help you with these issues. You’re in the business to help others and having the right guidance will make you that much more effective. I’m happy to meet with you online or in person as your supervisor if you’re in Ohio, or on a more traditional consultancy basis whether you are in Ohio or outside of the state.

I feel so strongly about good supervision I wrote a book about it. I know in my bones it will help you. The Portable Supervisor: The Essential Guide for Students and New Mental Health Professionals is filled with wisdom, advice and practical information to help you boost your practice immediately. It’s available in paperback and ebook on Amazon.
